How to Draw an Attitude Indicator Using Adobe Illustrator

Wishing to learn how to draw using Adobe Illustrator, I decided to start by attempting to draw an attitude indicator (artificial horizon). After all, this is something that I could potentially use in a simulator. The result was pretty neat, so I decided to repeat the process and capture it as a screencast in case anyone wished to do the same sorry, I've accidentally destroyed that video. Found some code where I exported layers as png images, and animated the attitude indicator using Core Animation. I believe you can make a native vector animation using WPF in .net. Here’s the source code to get the animation shown below.
